PROVIEW Owner Name 'iPad' in China

BEIJING - Long time no hear, now trademark dispute about the name 'iPad' pushed back. A senior official from State Administration for Industry and Commerce (SAIC) said PROVIEW Technology China in Shenzen, which is fighting against Apple in the court of China about the name 'iPad' is the legal owner of the trademark.

"According to the provisions of Trade Marks China, now is the registries Shenzen PROVIEW iPad trademark law," said a Naib President of SAIC, Fu Shuangjian, as quoted in a trial akhbar in Beijing.

The fact Shuangjian a comment from an employee's first lay the kingdom of this trade mark issues and possibly suggesting how the court decision. "This case has a great impression and the final court decision will affect anyone who has a trade mark 'iPad'," explained Shuangjian, as reported by Reuters on Wednesday (25/04/2012).

Meanwhile, the Apple could not be reached for questioning concerning the trade mark 'iPad' in China. Last Monday, lawyers PROVIEW says still in talks with Apple lawyers but the conversation has not led to the final decision.

PROVIEW said it supports the settlement outside the court process and usually involves the payment of compensation, which was mentioned by analysts that the company needs money to pay creditors.

About the trade mark in China is one of the problems that interfere with the technology giant based in Cupertino, California. As we know, Apple recently agreed to cooperate with the main investor, Foxconn Technology Group to ensure better working conditions for workers there.
